Well I Did Get the Inks Out

Sue Brown Printmaker has been doing little prompts on a Sunday on her Instagram page so I finally managed to find the impetus to join in! I have several strips of backgrounds coming along nicely. I’m not sure what my main theme will be, possibly with some of my moths, but something will grow out of them.

It was nice just getting mucky!

I’m keeping up to date with the #fabricrecipies of Jayne Emerson Textiles on Instagram too. These are days 8 Check, 9 Net, 10 Weave, 11 Felted, 12 Geometric, 13 Floral, 14 Cut, 15 Frayed, 16 Patched, 17 Stitched, 18 Beaded and 19 Vintage.

The #stitchwheel by Cathy Reavy at Threads Workshops is coming along nicely too. Several new to me stitches. It’s such a nice way of trying them out and having a record of them.

The Reindeer hasn’t moved along too much. I’m spending a fair amount of time on the other stitching but this is always out to add a few here and there.

Other things like knitting are creeping along. The Bieldy slippers are growing, slowly. They’re not TV work but I have started a Mohair cowl neck as a short sleeve slip over. I’m knitting in the round as it’s just quicker that way and no seams to stitch up!

Other than that it’s now trying to stay dry and stop the dogs from drowning us in mud! I think I prefer the cold.

I finally had some time to fiddle with the new years table. Dark blue are completed since last time, grey are underway. Even that is not totally up to date as the stitch wheel or February challenge aren’t on there. I think I will now go and find a lit fire and perhaps get on with a Mary or something!

Have a good weekend!
